
Copper-Alum Composite Material
Copper-aluminum composite material is a laminated bimetallic material where pure copper and aluminum alloy are tightly bonded at the atomic level via metallurgical composite processes. It is not merely laminated or glued together, and a stable diffusion layer forms at the bonding interface, preventing delamination during bending, stamping and heat treatment.

There are three mainstream structural types of copper-aluminum composite materials:
- Single-sided copper-clad aluminum (Al/Cu): Aluminum serves as the substrate with copper cladding on one side (the most widely used type for battery tabs and conductive busbars).
- Double-sided copper-clad aluminum (Cu/Al/Cu): An aluminum core is clad with copper layers on both sides, suitable for current collectors and main busbars.
- Single-sided aluminum-clad copper (Cu/Al): A copper substrate coated with aluminum on one side, which is less common and mostly applied to heat dissipation and heat exchange components.
