Aluminum rapidly forms a thin, inert native aluminum oxide layer upon exposure to air. Copper tends to oxidize, develop tarnish, and generate copper‑containing corrosion residues. When both metals co‑exist on one part, galvanic corrosion risk arises during wet chemical processing.
